Warner Going Blu-Ray After May

Warner Brother's has announced that after May 2008. This is a major blow to the HD-DVD camp as now around 70% of all studios have sided with Blu-Ray. The HD DVD Consortium has cancelled it's CES Press Conference. A lot of people saw this coming and really isn't a big surprise. Sony worked hard to get BD 1.1 into the PlayStation 3 before years and and I am sure they payed a sizable amount to Warner to get the exclusive. It will be interesting to see what happens next. I bet more defections are bound to happen. Microsoft is rumored to have a big HD DVD announcement at CES tomorrow during Bill Gates Keynote address. I wonder if they are scrambling to change their announcement in the light of Warner's decision. Only time will tell.
